New Year’s Eve night skiing & countdown fireworks
December 31 (Friday), 2010 starting at 16:30
On December 31, night-time skiing will be available until 23:30. Let’s start 2011 at the ski slope with fireworks. Cask sake will be served to visitors free of charge.

January 1 (Saturday), 2011: At Uenotaira slope starting at 11:00
Cask sake will be served on January 1, 2011 at the ski slope.
Snowfield sightseeing tour on a snow vehicle
January 3 (Monday)–March 27 (Sunday), 2011: Not available on Thursdays
Riding on a snow vehicle—something you don’t get to experience in daily life—you can enjoy sightseeing at leisure on a fresh snow field that nobody can easily step in. Departure schedule: 10:30, 11:00, 11:30, 13:30, 14:00, 14:30
Charge: ¥500 (including a soft drink ticket)

Dosojin fire festival
January 15 (Saturday), 2011
A spectacular traditional festival, this is counted as one of the three major fire festivals in Japan. This—the village’s largest and the most important event of the year—is very impressive and exciting when the sparks fly from the torches.

Come to Nagasaka gondola at 7:50
You can have the run of the ski slope. Participants will have the chance to arrive at the top of the mountain before the Nagasaka gondola lift starts general operation. This is your chance to ski on an untouched fresh slope.
Don’t miss out this wonderful event.
*The event may be canceled if the weather is bad.
Winter night light festival
March 5 (Saturday), 2011: At Hikage ski slope, starting at 19:00
Enjoy a fantastic world of light featuring tomyo lights, fireworks on the snow, and demonstrations of skiing while holding torches. The ski slope looks quite different at night from during the day.

A sport everyone wants to try—speed racing, threading through poles A visitors’ ski competition, open to anyone who wants to try this kind of skiing competition in an easy manner
DER WEISSE RAUSCH competition is attractive because of the exhilaration you can feel when skiing from the top of the mountain all the way to the bottom of the slope.
